Welcome to Receptify. By downloading or using the Receptify mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Overview

Receptify is a personal expense tracking application that allows users to record expenses, attach receipts, and organize financial data.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a legal guardian, to use this App.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information

• Use the App lawfully

• Maintain the security of your device and accounts (including Google account)

You are solely responsible for all data you manage through the App.

4. Data Storage, Ownership, and Risk

Receptify is designed with a privacy-first architecture:

• Your data is stored in your own Google Drive account

• Receptify does not operate a centralized backend storing your financial data

• You retain full ownership and control of your data

However, you acknowledge and agree:

• Data availability depends entirely on third-party services (e.g., Google Drive)

• Receptify has no ability to recover lost data

Receptify is not responsible for any data loss resulting from:

• Deletion of files by the user

• Google account suspension, restriction, or termination

• Google Drive service outages or failures

• Sync errors, device issues, or accidental deletion

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups and access to your data.

5. Optional AI Features

Receptify may provide optional on-device AI features.

• Processing occurs locally on your device

• No data is sent to external servers for AI processing

• Results may not always be accurate

Users must verify all extracted or generated information.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may rely on third-party services including:

• Google Drive

• Google Wallet

Receptify is not responsible for the availability, reliability, or behavior of these services.

7. No Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice

Receptify is a tool only.

• It does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice

• Users are responsible for verifying all data before tax filing or financial use

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available"

• We disclaim all warranties

Receptify shall not be liable for:

• Data loss of any kind

• Financial loss

• Tax reporting errors

• Indirect or consequential damages

You agree that you use the App at your own risk.

9. Pricing and Future Paid Features

The App is currently provided free of charge.

However, Receptify reserves the right to:

• Introduce paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases

• Modify pricing or access to features at any time

Any future purchases will be subject to the applicable platform’s billing terms (e.g., Google Play).

10. Changes to the Service

We may modify or discontinue the App at any time.

Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
